The Main Line Martin Luther King Association was formed in 1983 in the pursuit of building a conscious awareness of the contributions of Martin Luther King on the Main Line.  Its purpose is to make Dr. King’s dream of social and racial equality and freedom from discrimination a reality on the Main Line and in giving scholarships to worthy high school students going on to higher education. This mission is particularly crucial this year as many college students struggle to finance their education due to economic losses their families and academic institutions continue to experience. These students need our help more now than ever before.

Thus, we are sincerely asking you to consider making a generous donation to the Main Line Martin Luther King Association’s College Scholarship Fund. Our scholarships, which cover a modest fraction of the recipients’ total educational costs (approximately the cost of textbooks), provide both financial support and important positive encouragement for the young people who receive them. Each year we receive numerous applications from excellent candidates but due to lack of funds, we must turn away many of these talented and worthy students. Our hope this year is to help 15 students with a total goal of $15,000. We would greatly appreciate your help in reaching this goal.
